Monday, February 8, 2010, 11:11p.m. - Worried about the snowy morning commute? Get your Metro bus information on-line tonight and then follow Metro service information when the snow flies.

Should standard snow detours go into effect, use the "STANDARD SNOW DETOURS" link below for specific routing information.

Customers can get up-to-the-minute detour information on Twitter at Twitter.com/cincinnatimetro.

Metro’s Detour Hotline at 632-7538 provides a recorded message, updated continuously from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on severe winter weather days to give the most current bus detour information.

Metro’s call center at 621-4455 is open weekdays 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for complete bus-riding information.

Metro buses cannot stop safely on snowy or icy hills. Customers should board at the top or bottom of hills.

MINOR ADJUSTMENTS MADE TO TWELVE SCHEDULES

Twelve rideguides have been adjusted as of Friday, January 29, 2010 to correct minor errors since the routes changed on December 27, 2009.

The corrected schedules are:

Route 2x Route 31
Route 6 Route 32
Route 16 Route 39
Route 17 Route 40x
Route 19 Route 50
Route 21 Route 71x/Route 72

You can access current schedules using the drop-downs at the bottom of the right-hand sidebar. If you download a new schedule and it has an effective date other than 12/27/09, the old schedule may be cached in your browser. You need to clear the cache, close the browser, delete the old schedule PDF files, relaunch the browser and try downloading again.

Metro is working with three local radio stations to collect food, personal care items, first aid supplies and bottled water for the relief efforts in Haiti. One of Metro's new articulated buses will be parked at the Hyde Park Kroger at 3760 Paxton Ave. on Sunday, Feb. 14 from noon to 6 p.m. with remotes throughout the day from stations B105 (noon – 2 p.m.); Q102 (2 – 4 p.m.) and Rewind 94.9 (4 – 6 p.m.) All proceeds will be sent to Matthew 25: Ministries for distribution through their established channels in Haiti. Matthew 25: Ministries is a local, non-denominational organization that helps the needy all over the world.

METRO ON REGULAR SCHEDULE FOR PRESIDENTS' DAY
Metro will operate on a regular schedule on Presidents’ Day, Monday, Feb. 15. Access service for people with disabilities will also run on a regular schedule.


ZONE CHANGE:
ROUTES 14X, 20, 41
The fare zone boundary for Routes 14X, 20 and 41 will change effective Monday February 8, 2010 to be more consistent with the City of Cincinnati city limits.

The new fare zone boundary locations are: - On Winton just north of North Bend Road - On Galbraith at Colette - On Galbraith at Carrol - On Simpson just north of North Bend Road

For Route 14X and Route 20 all bus stops north of North Bend Road will be Zone 2. All bus stops on these two routes south of North Bend Road, including the bus stops at North Bend Road will be Zone 1.

For Route 41 the Zone 2 routing is on Winton from North Bend to Galbraith, on Galbraith from Winton to Colette, on Galbraith from Carrol to Simpson and on Simpson from Galbraith to North Bend.

The Zone 1 routing is from the Oakley end-of-the-line to North Bend and Winton, from Galbraith & Colette to Galbraith & Carrol and from North Bend & Simpson to the Mt. Airy Hospital end-of-the-line.


STOP CLOSURE:
INBOUND ROUTE 21
Due to construction the stop at Harrison and McHenry for the Inbound Route 21 is out of service until further notice.
