EASTGATE PARK & RIDE:
JANUARY RIDERSHIP UP 22%
Ridership at two other long-distance park & rides also up
in January
CINCINNATI
-- January was a hot month at the Metro Union Township Civic Center
park & ride in the Eastgate area. Ridership was up
22% on the Rt. 82X Eastgate Express, compared to ridership at the previous
park & ride
in January 2005. The route provided about 333 rides per weekday
last month.
The new Union Township Civic Center park & ride is
located at 4350 Aicholtz Rd. near the Eastgate Biggs store. Parking is
free and
the fare
is $2.00 one-way, directly to or from downtown Cincinnati.
The Rt. 82X is funded by Clermont County and Union Township.
Ridership
was also up compared to last January at other long-distance
commuter park & rides:
- Rt. 42X West Chester Express was up 13%, with 525 rides
per weekday
- Rt. 52X Harrison Express was up 15% with 248
rides per weekday
Fare
for the West Chester is $2.25 one-way and Harrison is $2
one-way, directly to and from downtown. Parking is free
at all park & rides.
Butler County Regional Transit Authority provides funding
for Butler County service.
