MECKLENBORG JOINS S.O.R.T.A. BOARD OF TRUSTEES

CINCINNATI -- Robert P. Mecklenborg has been appointed to the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority’s nine-member board of trustees. SORTA operates Metro and Access public transportation services in Greater Cincinnati.

Mecklenborg is a partner with the law firm of Hyle and Mecklenborg Co., based in Westwood. In addition to handling litigation and non-litigation issues, the firm has represented Green Township since 1991. Mecklenborg also serves as Solicitor and Prosecutor for the Village of Cleves. He previously served as Law Director for the City of Cheviot.

Mecklenborg is a member of the Ohio and Cincinnati Bar Associations. He holds a BA from Ohio University and JD from the University of Cincinnati.

Mecklenborg and his wife Jan reside in Green Township. They have three children. He is active in community and public service, including serving previously on the board of the American Lung Association of Southwest Ohio, and fundraising activities for St. Xavier High School, Mother of Mercy High School, the YMCA and Boy Scouts.

Metro and Access are non-profit public services of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing almost 22 million rides per year in the Greater Cincinnati community.
