NEW GOVERNMENT SQUARE, MORE METRO CHANGES ON AUG. 20.

CINCINNATI – Sunday, Aug. 20 will be a big day for transit in Greater Cincinnati:

  • Metro’s new Government Square downtown transit hub will open
  • New low-floor buses with no steps to board will go into service
  • Metro will add a new Rt. 34X Western Hills Express to downtown during weekday rush hours (free rides on first day of service, Aug. 21)
  • More service will be added to three popular routes:  Rt. 33 Glenway (Saturdays), Rt. 42X West Chester and Rt. 71X Kings Island
  • Metro’s regular Fall service changes will take effect reflecting the beginning of school
  • The following bus schedules will have time or bus stop changes.  Many of the changes are due to new downtown routing or times related to Government Square’s reopening:

    • Rt. 3X, 11, 12X, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 30X, 33, 39, 41, 42X, 43, 44X, 45, 46, 47, 52X, 64, 66, 67, 69, 71X, 72, 75X, 77X, 81X, and 85.
