Bus headlights turned on all day on Sept. 11, 2006
CINCINNATI On Monday, Sept. 11, all Metro buses will keep their headlights on all day in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001.
Since 9/11, Metro has added security cameras on all buses, and the new Government Square was constructed with added security features.
“The best technology in the world doesn’t take the place of common sense and observation,” said Mike Setzer, Metro’s CEO & General Manager. “Whether you’re walking down the street, shopping at the mall, going to a movie or riding on a bus, you have to be vigilant about what’s happening around you. If you see something suspicious, report it.”
Metro is a non-profit public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 22 million rides per year in Greater Cincinnati.
