EXCHANGE BRASS METRO TOKENS BY FRIDAY, NOV. 10
Only silver tokens accepted as fare, beginning Sunday, Nov. 12
CINCINNATI Metro’s old brass tokens -- with a value of $.65 -- have not been in use officially since the February 2005, but they continue to surface in the fareboxes. They were replaced with silver tokens, equivalent to Metro’s current base fare of $1.
The brass tokens will no longer be accepted as Metro fare, effective Sunday, Nov. 12.
Customers with brass tokens may exchange them for silver tokens (with appropriate co-payment) at Metro’s sales office, 120 E. Fourth Street, Mercantile Building arcade downtown, weekdays 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. No cash refunds will be given. Deadline for the token exchange is Friday, Nov. 10.
