BUTLER COUNTY INCREASES FARES ON THEIR METRO ROUTES
$0.25 fare increase beginning April 14

CINCINNATI -- At the request of the Butler County Regional Transit Authority, fares for Metro Rt. 42X West Chester Express and Rt. 62X Fairfield Express will increase $0.25 effective Monday, April 14. The new fare will be $3 one-way.

Monthly pass prices will increase to $115 beginning with the June 2008 passes.

BCRTA funds Metro service in Butler County and Metro operates these routes under contract with BCRTA. The Rt. 42X West Chester Express is the largest Metro express route, with more than 300 people riding every weekday.

Metro is a non-profit public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 22 million rides per year in Greater Cincinnati.
