CINCINNATI - When pigs fly, Metro buses move!
The Flying Pig Marathon events will result in Metro bus detours on Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th, 2008 including some significant detours east of downtown on Sunday. For specific areas affected, visit the Flying Pig website at www.flyingpigmarathon.com for the course map.
For complete bus detour information, customers can plan ahead and call Metro Monday through Saturday at (513) 621-4455. The Metro call center is open weekdays 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but is closed Sunday. Metro's website, www.go-metro.com, also features detour information.
Customers can also sign up for free Commuter Alerts and have detour information for their routes sent directly to their e-mail, cell phone or PDA.
Metro is a non-profit public service of Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 23 million rides per year in the Greater Cincinnati community.
