Now that’s green a go-go…
On Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, “Eco Go-Go Fashion Show” models wearing environmentally-conscious and bike-beautiful fashions will arrive at Fountain Square in “green” style on one of Metro’s six new hybrid buses. Their runway will be the flower carpet, designed by Cincinnati graphic designer Joel Knueven.
Fashions are provided by Park + Vine, Nati Evolvement and The Spotted Goose. Hair and makeup is courtesy of A Salon Named Desire. In addition to Metro, other sponsors include: BuyCincy, Campus Cyclery, Cincy Chic, CityBeat, City Roots, Mr. Dibbs and my64 WSTR.
Proceeds from the sale of hair care products, clothing, gift items and reusable bottles and bags benefit Imago Earth Center, Cincinnati's premiere urban nature preserve.
Metro on Fountain Square: Visitors can check out a new Metro hybrid bus, parked on Walnut at Fifth. Metro information and green goodies will be available during the event.
At 1 p.m., Metro’s new hybrid buses will be officially launched into service.
Metro is a non-profit public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 22 million rides in Greater Cincinnati.
